  My only criticism was the pool area is very small and not very accommodating for such a romantic setting. Would definitely visit again.

  I was here with my wife, and it was very nice being there. I love the peacefulness of the nature yet really nice, very private, spacious comfortable, modern accommodation. The river tour is right there also... like I said, we both really liked it and look forward to stay there again. There is something really nice about Australian outback... and this place is like heaven.

  Great place for exploring the area. High level of comfort and excellent staff. Felt very relaxed for the drive back to Darwin. Would visit again.

  Overall it was an amazing stay. The food was the best of eaten in the NT. Much better than the food at the 5 star Darwin places. Yes better than Char, better than PeeWees, better than the trendy PM Eat and Drink.

  Cicada Lodge is a must see in the Northern Territory. It's a wonderful property with excellent service. For the Northern Territory it's definitely 5 stars but not worldwide 5 star worthy yet. It's the perfect location to see the park, the Katherine Gorge and just relax. A couple of things would make this better:

  1. The bed mattress was just too hard. Very uncomfortable for a side sleeper.

  4. I really wanted to take home one of their robes but you can't buy them. They should offer to sell things like that to paying guests willing to pay.

  3. It needs some levels of rooms with extra amenities. For example, a room with a big tub would be awesome.

  2. It desperately needs spa services. It's the perfect kind of property to offer that.
